The Kyte Baby Standard
Never not innovating
We’ve been researching, developing and innovating our sleep bags since 2014. We’ve set the standard for the softest fabric, the most user-friendly zipper design, the most durable stitching, and the safest, most comfortable design on the market—and we’re not stopping there.
We’ve expanded our sleep bags to include four sizes in three different weights, three sizes of sleep bag walkers, and a newborn sleep bag—the first of its kind in the market. Because we believe as long as the needs for safe and comfortable sleep keep changing, our products should, too.

Sleep Bag Walker
The dragon fly print was even cuter in person. The sleep bag walkers give my toddler a little more room while also keeping the same warmth she is used to from the regular sleep bags. The feet also give me peace of mind knowing there’s less of a tripping hazard if she stands up in her crib.

Robin is my favorite color so far!
We love the sleep bag walkers. My son has used a sleep bag his whole life and since walking he never wants to take it off because he can run around and be snuggly at the same time. This color is beautiful!

When should I switch to sleep bag Walker? ›

Can I put my 3 month old in a walker? ›Baby walkers are known as fun entertaining equipment used for infants between 4 to 12 months of age globally (1). About 50%-77% of parents of infants 3 to 12 months use baby walker (2, 3).
Is 3 months too early for a walker? ›Typically, babies can start using a walker around the age of 6 months, when they are able to sit up on their own and hold their head up. However, it is important to note that every baby develops at their own pace, and some may not be ready for a walker until they are closer to 8 or 9 months old.
What should a 1.0 tog baby wear? ›1.0 TOG Rating
With this weight wearable blanket, your baby will typically be comfortable wearing a one-piece sleeper with feet and/or long pajama sleeves and bottoms. This is the ideal rating if you can keep your baby's nursery between 68-72F all year round.
0.5 Tog - this is breathable and unlined. Suitable for Summer and room temperatures above 24 degrees. 1.0 Tog - suitable for Spring and Autumn and a room temperature of 18-24 degrees.
What is 1 TOG equivalent to? ›1 TOG is about the same as 1 light blanket or 2 layers of T-shirt weight fabric. 2.5 TOG normally has some sort of filling and is warmer, better in temperatures 20°C or under. 3.5 TOG is only for room temperatures below 16°C .
Is it bad to put baby in walker too early? ›This does not allow for babies to develop the leg strength needed for pulling up to the standing position, standing alone, and walking. If a baby is too young to hold him or herself up and is put into a walker, that baby may lean forward or bend back, and have trouble breathing.
Should babies feet be flat in walker? ›They should be able to maintain their balance on flat feet, rather than weight on their toes, on the outside border of their feet, or on the inside border of their feet.
How long can a baby stay in a baby walker? ›If you do use a baby walker, bouncer or seat, it's best to use them for no more than 20 minutes at a time.
What is the earliest a baby has walked? ›
While the average age for babies to start walking is about 12 months, some take their first steps even earlier or much later. “Babies can start walking as early as 9 months,” Dr. Marshall says. “It's also normal for babies to take more time and start walking at 17 or 18 months.”
Does a baby walking early mean anything? ›Children who start walking early turn out later to be neither more intelligent nor more well-coordinated. On average, children take the first steps on their own at the age of 12 months. Many parents perceive this event as a decisive turning point. However, the timing is really of no consequence.
What is the earliest a baby has ever walked? ›Freya Minter is the youngest baby on record to walk!
Freya Minter was six months old when she took her first steps, leaving the rest of her age bracket in the dust. Her parents, Grace, and Ryan, confidently say that she was always a very alert baby, but even they didn't expect what was to come just a few months later.
A TOG value of 0.5 to 1.0 is suitable for temperatures of 75°F (24°C) or higher. This provides a light layer of insulation to keep your baby comfortable without overheating. A TOG value of 1.0 to 2.5 is appropriate for temperatures between 68°F (20°C) and 75°F (24°C).
What can I put under 1.0 tog? ›For a sleep sack with a 1.0 TOG rating, your baby will typically be comfortable wearing a one-piece sleeper with feet and/or long pajama sleeves and bottoms. This is the ideal rating if you can keep your baby's nursery between 68-72F all year round.
Do babies arms get cold in sleep sacks? ›Q: Do babies' arms get cold in sleep sacks? A: It's possible, depending on the room temperature. If you need long sleeves in the bedroom or your baby's arms feel cool to the touch, then ensure your baby has long-sleeved pajamas underneath the sleep sack.
What is the difference between 0.5 and 1.0 tog? ›TOG means Thermal Overall Grade and relates to how much warmth the fabric or garment of the fabric. The higher the TOG the warmer the fabric. For example, 0.5 TOG is less warm than 1.0 TOG, and 2.5 TOG is warmer still.
What is the difference between 1.0 tog and 0.2 TOG? ›Basically, the higher the TOG, the warmer the product. Below is a set of guidelines that helps parents and carers understand which TOG values are right for differing room temperatures: 0.2 TOG – ideal for room temperatures between 24°C and 27°C. 1.0 TOG – ideal for room temperatures between 20°C to 24°C.

How do I know if my baby is overheating in his sleep? ›
- Clammy Skin. You can tell if your baby is too hot if their neck, back or tummy is sweaty or warm to the touch. ...
- Red Face and Rashes. ...
- Rapid Breathing and Raised Heart Rate. ...
- Lethargic and Disorientated. ...
- Increased Irritability.
- Their skin is blotchy or pale.
- Their arms, legs, or cheeks feel cool to the touch.
- Their chest or the back of their neck feel cool to the touch.
- They seem overly sleepy or are hard to rouse.
- They're extra fussy or keep waking frequently.
You'll want to keep size, comfort, and safety in mind. It's a good idea to use one until at least 12 months of age since a loose blanket can increase the risk of sleep-related injury or death. Feel free to continue using a sleep sack as long as it fits well and your child seems comfortable wearing it.
What age can you take a baby out of a sleeping bag? ›In most cases, you don't want to stop using a sleep sack before their first birthday. Otherwise, you'll need to find an alternative way to keep your baby warm that doesn't pose a suffocation hazard. Once they turn one, you can safely transition your child to regular bedding options.
What weight should a baby be before using a sleeping bag? ›Your baby should be 8.8lbs or 4kg before you use a sleeping bag. The safest place for your baby to sleep for the first 6 months is in a separate cot or Moses basket in the same room as you.
Are sleep sacks safe for babies who can walk? ›Yes. It is generally safe for infants to sleep in a sleep sack which allows their arms to be free and hips and legs to move once they start to roll over. This ensures that they are able to move about freely and can push themselves up when they start to roll over on their own.
Should 1 year old wear sleeping bag? ›Babies can use a sleeping bag up to the age of 3 or when they transition to a bed.
Can a 1 year old use a sleeping bag? ›A sleep bag can be used from birth if it fits! But most parents find that swaddling is helpful in the first few weeks to prevent them from startling awake as soon as you put them down. If you found that swaddling your little one took a special skill set, you'll find a sleep bag much easier to use!
How do I know if my baby's sleeping bag is too big? ›A sleep sack should fit baby at her current weight and size. If it's too big, there's potential for extra material to bunch up around her face which can be hazardous. If however, there is some extra room in the foot area, that shouldn't be an issue.
Can my baby sleep in just footie pajamas? ›Dressing Your Newborn for Cold Weather Sleep
Pediatricians say that to help regulate baby's body temperature, you need clothing that keeps baby's arms, legs and feet covered. We think footed pajamas are an excellent choice for infants this age because of their convenient snaps and zippers.
Do sleep sacks prevent babies from rolling over? ›
Do sleep sacks prevent rolling over? No, they simply keep our babies warm and comfortable and, most importantly from a safety standpoint, they don't block their nose or mouth.
What should a baby wear in a 1.5 tog sleeping bag? ›1.5 TOG for room temp of 20-22 degrees Celsius (68 - 72 Fahrenheit). Keep in mind that you might layer a short sleeved onesie under a long sleeved onesie, but it's also not recommended that baby ever wear more than one additional layer than an adult is wearing to sleep in the same temperature and environment.
How do I know if my baby is cold at night? ›- Their skin is blotchy or pale.
- Their arms, legs, or cheeks feel cool to the touch.
- Their chest or the back of their neck feel cool to the touch.
- They seem overly sleepy or are hard to rouse.
- They're extra fussy or keep waking frequently.
However, if it is too small, it does not provide enough room for your child to kick and stomp. Also, the sleeping bags are warmed by the baby's body temperature. If they are too big, too much heat can escape and your child will feel cold. On the other hand, heat can build up if the sleeping bag is too small.
Can a 1 year old sleep with a blanket? ›You may be tempted to offer your baby a soft, warm blanket to help comfort them at night. However, blankets are not recommended until your baby reaches at least 12 months old because they can increase the risk of accidental suffocation.
Will baby overheat in a fleece sleep sack? ›As above, overheating is caused by baby getting too hot from a number of possible factors, such as using too much bedding, the room being too hot, dressing your baby in plastic type polar fleece or baby wearing a hat in bed.
Does the AAP recommend weighted sleep sacks? ›According to AAP, sleep sacks are much safer compared with loose blankets or swaddles. However, according to AAP, parents should avoid all weighted sleep products for babies, meaning no weighted sleep sacks, swaddles, sleepers, or blankets.
